SCHOOLS & EDUCATION
Iredell County boasts two school systems, the Mooresville Graded School District listed here and the Iredell-Statesville School System listed separately. Together they represent a total of 40 schools and an enrollment of approximately 19,500 students. All Iredell schools are accredited by the North Carolina Department of Public Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Schools in both systems have earned high honors from the North Carolina Department of Instruction.
