STARTING A BUSINESS IN NORTH CAROLINA

The State of North Carolina does not have a single business license that ensures compliance with the numerous state licenses, permits and regulations required. This necessitates researching which licenses and permits you will need for your particular situation. The Business License Information Office (BLIO) makes it easy for businesses to meet the license requirements of the State of North Carolina.

There are numerous steps a prospective business must take before starting a new business.  Identifying all the licenses and regulations, and/or other approvals required for the planned activity is a crucial step to the success of any business.
